Christy H Sweeney, Esq.

Christy Howell Sweeney, Esq. has been a member of the Kentucky Bar since 2001. After graduating from UK’s College of Law she worked in a firm as an associate practicing insurance defense and subrogation. She decided to open her own firm in 2003 and has remained in private practice ever since, refocusing her talents in the areas of business law and contract negotiations, estate planning and criminal defense.

Mrs. Sweeney is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Fayette County Bar Association and admitted to practice before all Kentucky State Courts. She is also licensed to practice before the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, the US District Court Eastern District of Kentucky, and the US District Court Western District of Kentucky.

Mrs. Sweeney graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2001. She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in 1998, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Spanish and Political Science. While pursuing her education, Mrs. Sweeney was actively involved in the university. She served as the President of Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honor Society), and as the Vice President of Societas Pro Legibus (Legal Honorary). She was also a member of the Spanish Honorary and the Golden Key Honorary. While in law school, Mrs. Sweeney was a member of the Student Bar Association and the Women's Law Caucus.
